RESPECT LIFE

Make plans now to attend: the 37th annual National March for Life on Friday, January 22nd in Washington DC

Also, read about the Knights of Columbus and the "Student Contests" program from the March For Life web-site:

“The March for Life Education and Defense Fund is very pleased to sponsor the Student Contests program and to announce the schedule of awards. We shall invite all six winners in the essay, poem and poster categories - three High School winners, three Junior High winners, and a parent for each winner - to come to Washington, DC, January 21 & 22, 2010, for the 37th annual March for Life activities. It is due to the generosity of the Supreme Office of the Knights of Columbus that we are able to make these student contest awards. We appreciate the interest of the Knights of Columbus in both our March for Life Fund work and in the efforts and time of students throughout our country who participate in these Student Con-tests.” Spread the word to all Junior High and High School students.

If you can’t attend the National March for Life in Washington DC., please consider attending the Speak Out Illinois 2010 Conference on Saturday, January 30th. “Defending Life, Protecting the Future.” To be held at the Doubletree Hotel in Oakbrook, IL. CLEARBROOK  DANCE

"Thanks to all those who helped make the 2009 Clearbrook Christmas Dinner Dance a memorable and enjoyable experience for each of our guests. Thanks to the kitchen crew of Lance Krahl, Ray Check, Bob Kneesel and Jim Pietras for their exquisite culinary cuisine; to the Council and Ladies Auxiliary members for helping to prepare the hall and serve the food; to the young volunteers from the Prospect High School Service Club, St. Edna's Confirmation Class, Boy Scout Troop 166, St. James' Confirmation Class, Trinity High School Service Club, Our Lady of the Wayside Confirmation Class and the Knights of Columbus Youth who all helped to register our guests, serve their meals, sang, danced and promoted the jocularity which made the event the success that it was. Let us not forget to thank the star of the evening, our own Don Barrett, who was able to squeeze into the Santa Claus suit, drive his sleigh up to the roof, slide down the chimney and deliver candy canes to each of our guests and volunteers as well. Please mark your calendars for the next Clearbrook Dinner Dance which will be held on Friday, May 7, 2010. We hope to see you there."
