12-27-2007 -- Father Tom McCarthy has gone home Holy Rosary Council's former Chaplain and current Chaplain Emeritus passed away at 1 AM on Christmas. Father Tom was residing with the Little Sisters of the Poor at St Joseph's Home for the Elderly in Palatine when he became non-responsive.
Father Tom's wake will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at St Joseph's Home for the Elderly from 4 PM until 8 PM with a service to be held at 8 PM. On Thursday, January 3, 2008, a funeral Mass will be offered at St. James Church at 10 AM. Following the Mass, Father Tom's body will be interred at Queen of Heaven Cemetary. Addresses:
11-30-2007 -- Al Eberhardt: HEART OF GOLD Holy Rosary Council's own Past Grand Knight, Mr. Al Eberhardt has been announced as this years recipient of the "Hearts of Gold" award. There will be a dinner and an award ceremony to be announced shortly. God bless Al, his family and all that have been touched by the tireless work of this dedicated man. 11-26-2007 -- State Soccer Challenge Madison Kempf (11 year old girl from
our council) WON the State Soccer Challenge. She will be presented a trophy at
the State Convention as well as go on to International Competition. How about that? Congrats to her and her family and to all who helped make this years Soccer Challenge a success. 10-23-2007 -- Our new Squires Circle Our new Squires circle was recognized by the Illinois State council's Squires news section. 10-10-2007 -- Past Grand Knight Dinner On Saturday, November 3, 2007, there will be a dinner to honor Past Grand Knight Dave Kasper. All Knights are invited to attend. For more information, click here. 10-06-2007 -- 50th Anniversary Proclamation On Thursday, Arlington Heights Village President, Arlene Mulder, presented Grand Knight Mark Stastny with a proclamation for our 50th anniversary. Our Grand Knight said, "I will proudly accept this proclamation in the names of each and every Knight, members of the Auxiliary and ANYONE who, over the course of the last 50 years, has graced #4483 with their presence. Be proud, fellow Knights, we have earned it!!"
